What is Chronic Fatigue Syndrome?
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is also called Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, a chronic condition where patients complain of extreme fatigue and tiredness during his/ her lifespan. It is a debilitating disease associated with excessive exertion accompanied by many variable signs and symptoms. It is more commonly seen in women. This may be due to environmental or genetic factors. The fatigue can last till 6 months too.
It gets worsens with any activity and does not improve with rest. Chronic fatigue affects the physical and mental health of an individual. It is described as a long-term illness that affects the whole body's functioning. It even gets difficult to perform daily activities and a person becomes dependent.
In Ayurveda, it can be compared with Vata imbalance. This aggravation generates a negative impact all over the body. This condition makes the patient feel irritated, dry, and lacking energy.
