If hemoglobin is low in the body, then the tissues and muscles will not obtain enough oxygen to be able to function effectively and this can be called Anemia.

    • The whitish tint of skin, nails, and eyes
    • Swelling or pain in the legs

If you have Anemia and are in great trouble, apart from other options available choose the Ayurvedic approach to treat anemia as it will deal with the problem in a natural way which will help in removing the root cause of the disease. Moreover, it will also have no side effects and will work against the reversibility of the disease.

Let’s know more about Anemia through Ayurveda!

As per Ayurvedic terminology, Anemia is referred to as Pandu Roga. The main reason is an imbalance in Doshas which causes the disease to manifest itself.

There are different types of Pandu Roga depending upon which Dosha is unbalanced.

      1. Vataj - Vata Dosha
      2. Pittaj- Pitta Dosha
      3. Kaphaj- Kapha Dosha
      4. Sannipataj- Tridoshas

The different types of Anemia have different types of symptoms. Below listed are characteristics related to the types of Anemia.

    Sannipataj

It is caused due to an imbalance in all three Doshas. When this condition occurs presence of a mixture of all the symptoms which were written above are visible.

Now, let’s find out the root cause of the disease. Why does it happen? What could be the reasons behind the deficiency of iron? What causes the Doshas to imbalance?

    1. It could be loss of blood from the body i.e. by some sort of injury or hemorrhaging in any organ of the body.
    2. In the case of women, excessive menstruation bleeding can also be the cause of loss of blood in the body.
    3. Formation of red blood cells in low amount and destruction of red blood cells.
    4. History of Anemia within the family.

Anemia may sound like something which is not major, but if not treated on time it may lead to severe complications that may damage the heart and lungs. Before it becomes a problem for you, adopt Ayurveda.
